Vitamin C is an essential micronutrient for humans, a powerful antioxidant and a cofactor of enzymes of regulator genes.

It contributes to the body's immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of the innate and adaptive immune system. Vitamin C deficiency causes impaired immune system and increased susceptibility to respiratory and systemic infections. The daily requirement estimated by the most authoritative international agencies is 60-120 mg. In order to develop proper immune function and resistance to infections, it is necessary to ensure adequate intake of vitamin C through diet or via supplementation.

To enhance the immunoprotection performance, we added to the preparation a precious Mediterranean extract of Citrus myrtifolia, the Italian Chinotto from the Ligurian area, recognized as Italian excellence. It is rich in flavonoids, a widely distributed group of polyphenolic compounds with health-related properties, based on their ability to be powerful antioxidants and free radical scavengers

The flavonoic profile of the chinotto differs in the Citrus species due to the presence of neoeriocitrine and neohesperidin and naringin that stands out in it, with important health-giving properties with antiviral activity in the respiratory tract, anti-inflammatory and effects on capillary fragility and cardiovascular protection, hepatoprotective activity and improving bone health.
